Trends in business today acknowledge that employee engagement is a key driver of sustained growth for any organization. Given the increasing diversity of the US workforce, companies need to look beyond generic employee engagement reports to understand how to improve, sustain, and drive ongoing employee engagement among specific diverse populations.

This presentation will provide an introduction to behavior management that emphasizes the ABC's for preventing and managing challenging behaviors. One of the most difficult clinical situations experienced by members of interdisciplinary teams is the management of services for older people with challenging behaviors and having the ability to manage treatment sessions, daily routines, and activities to improve quality of life.

Will yesterday's skill sets be adequate for todays and tomorrows challenges? This question will continue to be explored by organizations as transitions and succession is top of mind for many organizations. The complexity and change of pace in the senior living industry poses great risk for some organizations and opportunities for others. Strong leadership is a key factor in success and failure. Innovation and staying innovative will become ever important today and into the future.
This session will provide insights into the latest that is happening at HUD regarding potential changes to operational systems and procedures, including TRACS and Contract Administration. During this session, you’ll hear details of LeadingAge recent comments on proposed changes. You will also have the opportunity to add your voice to our recommendations for regulatory reform and reduced administrative burden. This session will also provide the latest information on new or upcoming notices and operational guidance or directives.
    Data (public and private) is becoming more prevalent and important in the new landscape of quality, performance and payment. Some data is publicly available while other is private and requested regularly. Both public and private data must be monitored closely and provided efficiently to have success into the future. In this session we will proved examples of data. We will explore the reasoning for the data, how to obtain it and most importantly how to read and interpret it. Focus on CMS data including 5 Star Quality Ratings and Domains, PBJ, Health Surveys and Inspections. We will also explore other sources of data that provides may need to produce in the future.
