We’re pleased to share details about the Arizona LeadingAge Memory Care Training in partnership with Nevvon, designed to help providers meet the new requirements outlined in Arizona’s updated regulations under HB2764.
SUMMARY OF NEW REQUIREMENTS
- All employees and contracted workers:

- 8 hours of department-approved memory care training (initially)
- Assisted Living Managers:

- An additional 4 hours (total of 12 hours initially)
- Annual ongoing training:

- 4 hours for staff
- 8 hours for Assisted Living Managers (4 standard + 4 manager-specific)
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
- Initial 8-Hour Training

- 7 hours virtual (flexible, on-demand via Nevvon’s mobile-friendly portal)
- 1-hour return demonstration (in-person skills check)
- In-person component provided by Arizona LeadingAge
- 8-HOUR INITIAL TRAINING REGISTRATION

- Arizona LeadingAge Members: $125/person
- Non-Members: $175/person
- 4-HOUR ASSISTED LIVING MANGER ADD-ON

- Non-Members: $50/person

- How do I register my employees?
- Once you complete the registration and submit to Arizona LeadingAge, you will receive an email stating that the registration is pending or confirmed. In that email there is an excel template that must be completed and emailed to Kelsie Lane.
- How do I know my employees are registered?
- Employees registered in the training will receive a text message and/or email to start their training.
- How do I schedule the in-person training for my employees?
- There are two options:
- Option 1: Communicate with Arizona LeadingAge to schedule a training on your campus if there are 10 or more students.
- Option 2: Schedule a training at an Arizona LeadingAge location.
- Can I receive NCIA credits for my annual renewal with this training?
- Yes! The 4-hour Assisted Living Manager Training is approved for 4-hours of NCIA CE credit for Arizona Assisted Living Managers.
