ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

This session reviews key operational processes for facilitating compliance program targets of preventing and detecting violations of laws/regulations, fraud and abuse, and integrating systems to promote quality care. Strategies to ensure sufficient resources and appropriate authority are granted to the compliance program and leadership, and that sufficient program oversight is provided by high level personnel will be covered. Recommendations for structuring board education, communication and reporting will be discussed.  Oversight responsibilities of the governing body will be included, as well as a review of common examples of where providers tend to go wrong. Operational considerations for other key requirements including: integration of compliance and ethics program activities with those of the QAPI program; guidance on conducting an annual review of the program to ensure the facility is responding appropriately to regulatory and other changes, mandatory requirements for organizations with 5 or more facilities, and program record keeping considerations.

At the conclusion of this session, the individual will be able:

  • Review considerations for integrating the QAPI and compliance and ethics programs as required

CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

  • A full refund will be given to all cancellations received 10 or more business days prior to the program.
  • A $10 administrative fee will be charged to all cancellations received six to nine business days prior to the program.
  • No refunds will be given to cancellations received five or fewer business days prior to the program.
  • Arizona LeadingAge reserves the right to cancel the program due to insufficient enrollment in which case pre-registered participants will be notified and full refunds provided.
  • No-shows will be billed. No refunds for failure to log-in at the time of the event.
